While more than 300.000 vehicles have already been registered in the Satellic system, Satellic is ramping up efforts to enable every company to ensure timely compliance with the kilometre charging, which will enter into force on 1 April.

From 1 April 2016 all heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes will have to be equipped with an On Board Unit (OBU) in working order to pay road tolls in Belgium.

Satellic, who collects toll on behalf of Viapass for the regions, was sued before the Court of First Appeal in Brussels by 97 companies backed by UPTR. Their demand to postpone the billing until a court-appointed expert confirms the well-functioning of the system was rejected by the judge.

Just 100 days after the launch of the kilometre charging for trucks in Belgium, Satellic makes a first assessment on this launch period and asks several stakeholders about their perception.

100 days after taking over as CEO of Satellic, Thomas Pferr announces closing the year 2016 on a rather positive result as 740,000 Satellic OBUs are now equipping trucks of over 3.5 tons using the Belgian road network.

Satellic announces the introduction of a new periodicity scheme for the customer billing as of January 1st, 2018. By doing this, Satellic wants to address the concerns expressed by its customers and aims at easing their administrative load regarding the accounting of the kilometre charging.

Satellic announces today that Thomas Pferr will step down as Chief Technology Officer ad interim effective December 31st, 2017. The Board of Satellic appoints Bart De Sitter as CTO ex officio as of January 1st, 2018. Thomas Pferr remains Chief Executive Officer of Satellic.

Satellic NV is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Pferr as Chairman of its Board and of Elisabeth Verbrugge as its new CEO, effective 1 July 2018
