Thomas Pferr appointed Chairman of Satellic’s Board | Elisabeth Verbrugge taking over his function as CEO

Satellic NV is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Pferr as Chairman of its Board and of Elisabeth Verbrugge as its new CEO, effective 1 July 2018

Currently Head of Procurement, Supplier & Contract Management, Elisabeth Verbrugge has been a key member of Satellic Management Team since 2016. She will take over from Thomas Pferr, who has led the tolling project in Belgium since the early stage of it, first as CTO then as CEO. Thomas raised Satellic from a project to a mature company providing a state-of-the-art tolling system regarded as the model for the European integrated tolling project. This particular commitment and link with Satellic will continue as he will take the Chair of the company effective 1 July 2018.

Announcing Elisabeth’s appointment, Thomas Pferr said: “Elisabeth is an exceptional leader. Thomas Pferr started his professional career in 1988 as a system specialist with Daimler’s data centre. From 1990 to 2000, he was in charge of the Project Management & Consulting Division at debis Systemhaus Frankfurt, where he led several major outsourcing projects. In October 2002, he became Executive Vice President of T‑Systems International GmbH and was responsible for the Toll Collect Business Centre. Thomas Pferr has a distinguished technical and engineering background, and a wealth of experience with the German Truck Tolling System. Since 2006, he has been in charge of T-Systems’ national and international Tolling Business as Head of the ‘Satellic Telematic Services’ division, and responsible for the ‘International’ division which serves public customers like the EU, the Defence, Education and Research sectors. He is a member of the Public Sector & Healthcare Management Committee within T-Systems International.

Elisabeth Verbrugge started her career at the Brussels offices of a global law firm, advising both public and private sector clients on complex technology and outsourcing deals and privacy and data protection matters. She joined Satellic in 2016 as Head of Procurement, Supplier & Contract Management, managing all external supplier relations as well as Satellic’s business partner program.
