Skills and competences
- You have obtained a Belgian Master in Law
- You have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- You have an excellent knowledge of business English (spoken and written) and you are fluent in Dutch (formal contract language)
- You are willing to work in a large variety of legal matters and to expand your knowledge and experience in new matters
- You have a client-oriented and can-do attitude and you have strong organizational skills
- You are willing to work in a technical environment and with different profiles
- You are a flexible team player - showing great respect towards colleagues - but you are also able to work effectively by yourself
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to convince others
- You are pragmatic and you are able to offer business-focused solutions, which means that you are able to translate complex legal matters into business terms and that you can identify potential risks in the department and find solutions.
What your job will look like
Reporting to the Head of Legal & Sustainability and working closely with the different departments of Satellic, you will assist the business in accomplishing its objectives by proactively offering advice.
As a Legal Counsel, your responsibilities are:
- As a right hand of the DPO, provide Data Privacy legal advice and manage the Confluence database related to data privacy
- Support the drafting of compliance and data privacy policies and support in the setting up of data privacy and compliance training
- Providing legal advice in a variety of legal matters within the framework of the existing DBFMO agreement
- Supporting the business in the realization of projects, while at the same time understanding the requirements of Viapass
- Coordinate the insurances, handle the renewals & claims
- Assist in corporate housekeeping
- Advise on legal sustainability requirements and assist in the roll-out of the strategy
- Keep up to date with new applicable legislation and support the implementation thereof
- Handle and follow-up litigations
Support the drafting and reviewing of contracts and other documents.
Language skills
- Dutch Mothertongue / Excellent
- English Good business English, written and spoken
