IT Application Manager

Satellic NV is the Company that is in charge of collecting road toll charges in Belgium using a GNSS based tolling system. The system is based on mobile devices (On Board Units, OBU), which are mounted inside the vehicle, and collect the charge to be forwarded to a central backend system.

For our ICT department, we are looking for an Application Manager.


What your job will look like 


 ·         Build-up, integration, and training services like file systems and users.

·         Installation and configuration of supporting tools, middleware and additional applications.

·         Creation and configuration of appropriate database objects.

·         Creation and configuration of application users.

·         Elaboration, implementation and test of start / stop scripts and test of scripts.

·         Setup of Housekeeping, creation and test of scripts.

·         Support for monitoring solutions.

·         Requesting a suitable backup setup.

·         Requesting necessary network configurations (e.g. firewalls, DNS ...).

·         Execution and test of initial and basic operating functions.

·         Documentation of System configuration and parameters & Check lists and operation instructions.

·         Setup of internal operational reporting (e.g. performance and usage)

Your profile: 

·         Experience with T&T projects is an asset

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, including comprehension and verbal skills, written communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, and relationship building.

·         Bachelor's Degree in an area of Information Technology or a comparable vocational training

·         At least 3 years work experience in a similar IT environment (Linux, Databases)

·         Very good knowledge of client/server architecture und the installation, automisation, maintenance, monitoring, second level support and troubleshooting of complex application systems.

·         Good knowledge of operations systems (E.g. Linux, Windows) and Databases (E.g. Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), additional knowledge of VMWare, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, GitLab, Kubernetis, Jenkins, Nexus and Kafka would be desirable.

·         Good Knowledge in scripting/programming (E.g. SQL, PL/SQL, PERL, Shell, Phyton, Ansible)

·         Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken

·         Willingness to provide On Call support (7x24h) and work during office hours (Mo-Fr) as well as weekend shifts and business travel (including oversea

Oracle DBA & APEX

For our ICT department, we are looking for an Oracle DBA & APEX.

Your tasks :

·         Gathering Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects

·         Application and integration emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture

·         Evaluation and implementation of new technologies on platforms supporting Oracle Applications and related application integrating with WebLogic and Java.

·         Collaboration with development, dba, and infrastructure teams to design and develop highly reliable and scalable solutions and platforms.

·         Participation in architectural reviews providing technical expertise along with ensuring design coincides with enterprise best practices.

·         Proactive management of the Oracle Applications environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.

·         Focus on continuous improvement to systems health, performance, security, and availability.  of requirements like file systems, users, virtualization, and backup.

·         Installation of the database management software.

·         Initial configuration and test of the database instance.

·         Setup of accounts for operational tools and administration.

·         Installation of database components for operational support.

·         Setup an operational database monitoring.

·         Installation, configuration and test of the database backup solution.

·         Documentation, work- and operation instructions Oracle, My SQL, Postgres and APEX Know How necessary

 Your profile :

·         Ability to communicate technical decisions to non-technical audiences and build consensus around them

·         Demonstrated ability to effectively manage Oracle Application performance – including application tuning and environment analysis.

·         Experience with OEM in Oracle Applications system support – including utilization of ARW

·         Demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of Oracle Applications including Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle workflow, XML Publisher, Forms, ADF, APEX, and WebLogic.

·         Demonstrated proficiency in SQL/PLSQL performance tuning.

·         Demonstrated ability to work effectively with support teams including DBA, Infrastructure, and Development.

IT service desk engineer

One of the services we provide is a 2nd line support desk. As a member of the support desk you are the point of contact for our sales partners, who themselves provide the 1st line user support.

You command not only excellent technical and customer service skills, but the professionalism and initiative to get problems resolved quickly and efficiently.

We are looking for candidates who will set up, operate and continuously improve 2nd line support in a small team.

During the set-up phase, you will be responsible for:

Getting familiar with the technical systems in use
Documentation of FAQs and procedures (e.g. Atlassian Confluence)
Support of test operations
Knowledge transfer to 1st line sales partners (e.g. train the trainer)
During the operations phase you will be responsible for:

Efficient handling of sales partner Incidents and Complaints via email/ phone and, if necessary, involving internal departments (Incident Management)

Your profile:

The ideal candidate has:

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven understanding of Enterprise Architecture environments acquired either by experience or education
2nd line support experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Experience with CRM systems is a plus

Customer service support

Within the Customer Care Service the candidate will be responsible for

·         Call script modelling

 The ideal candidate has

·         Proven 1st or 2nd line support experience
